Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is additional government funding designed to support schools in raising the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and closing the gap with their peers. The funding is based on the number of pupils:

  • who have been in receipt of free school meals (FSM) at any point in the past 6 years

  • who have been continuously looked after by the Local authority for the past 6 months

  • have ceased to be Looked After by the Local Authority due to adoption or other special circumstance

  • whose parents are in the armed forces

  • who are 3 or 4 years old in receipt of free Early Years education.

Key Principles relating to the Pupil Premium Grant

All pupils are equally valued and the teaching and learning opportunities meet the needs of all our pupils whatever their social disadvantage.

In making provision for socially disadvantaged pupils, we recognise that not all pupils who receive FSM will be socially disadvantaged. We also recognise that not all students who are socially disadvantaged qualify for FSM.

Hey there, couldn’t help noticing you’re using Internet Explorer

That’s great and all, and we commend you for pushing through with it. Unfortunately we no longer offer support for IE; it hasn’t received a major update since 2015 and Microsoft are dropping support for it later in the year.

If you’re using Windows 10 and want to stick with a built in browser, please consider switching to Edge. Or, if you really want to enjoy the internet properly we strongly recommend downloading Google Chrome here.
