Absence Information and Holiday Request Form
If your child is not well enough to attend school, please ring to inform the office on the first day of absence by 8.30 am.
If your child is absent after this time and we have not received a message, the school will contact you for safety reasons.
If your child has a medical appointment, please inform the school in advance and send in a copy of their appointment card for our records.
The school has published the school holidays in advance. Please make arrangements to take family holidays within these dates.
School Closures
Please can we remind parents that in the event of the school being closed due to snow, the following actions will be taken as soon as a decision has been made:
An email or text message will be sent to all families. If you wish to opt for email and text communication please contact the school office.
The BBC Bradford website www.bbc.co.uk/bradford lists all those schools closed – again this does take time to update. Announcements are also made on Radio Leeds, Pulse Radio, Sunrise Radio and Fresh AM.
PLEASE AVOID RINGING THE SCHOOL. If there is no announcement that school is closed then this means it is open. It is hoped that any such announcement would be made by 7.45am so that parents can make alternative arrangements for child care.
If there is a heavy fall of snow during a school day you may wish to collect your child early if you feel your own personal circumstances warrant this. A text message will be sent if we need to close school during the course of the day and we need you to pick up your children.
Please check the Bradford Schools Online website to check if PTS is running. Please note that that if PTS is cancelled throughout the day it is your responsibility to collect your child from school when asked to do so.
