Learning Pathways

High Park has created a unique 3 pathway curriculum model. Each pathway represents careful consideration as to what is important for our pupils to learn and experience during their school journey.

High Park follow a spiral model in which teaching is structured so that ideas can be revisited, consolidated and built upon.

Our curriculum intent is implemented via three learning pathways:  Pre-Formal, Semi-Formal and Formal Learning Pathway.

The National Curriculum provides a core framework for our pathways alongside the SEN Code of practice broad areas of need. Teachers use their pathway knowledge to creatively adapt the National Curriculum to make learning relevant and engaging for all pupils.

Our curriculum design is engaging and motivating and provides each student with experiences through which carefully sequenced objectives are taught. Evidence for Learning is used to monitor the progress students make towards their EHCP outcomes and other curriculum areas.

Hey there, couldn’t help noticing you’re using Internet Explorer

That’s great and all, and we commend you for pushing through with it. Unfortunately we no longer offer support for IE; it hasn’t received a major update since 2015 and Microsoft are dropping support for it later in the year.

If you’re using Windows 10 and want to stick with a built in browser, please consider switching to Edge. Or, if you really want to enjoy the internet properly we strongly recommend downloading Google Chrome here.
