What is PE Sport Funding?
In April 2014, the Government announced additional funding for physical education (PE) and sport in schools. This funding has again been allocated to schools for the academic year 2017/18 and is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in school
This funding is to be used to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision resulting in increased numbers of pupils developing healthy life styles, raising their performance levels and engaging in PE and sport.
